Up one level

Dan Hardison

A resident of North Carolina, Dan writes haiku, tanka and haibun. His photo haiga have appeared in Simply Haiku as well as here at Haigaonline. On his Flickr album and his blog, Some Tomorrow Morning, you may see other work similar to the present portfolio of tree haiga, with the image effectively framed on a larger, lighter version of itself.

He sent these five images for our Tree Challenge, and I immediately knew I'd like to publish all of them as a dedicated portfolio. I love the sense of passing seasons, and the essence of "treeness" they impart.
