Experimental Photo Haiku
by Bouwe Brouwer

Bouwe Brouwer (08-03-1977) is a primary school teacher who lives in Sneek, The Netherlands. His haiku and haibun have appeared widely in both print and online publications, and he has been featured in Blogging along Tobacco Road. With a background as an illustrator, Bouwe has always been interested in combining images with text. His photo haiga may be seen at Daily Haiga as well as here at Haigaonline (issue 11-2).

In recent years, he has been getting more and more involved in photography, and feels that with this new project he has finally "hit the right note . . . not haiga in a 'traditional' sense but a lot more than illustrated haiku. . . Hopefully I can keep making this work and maybe turn it into a photography/haiku book."
