Adelaide has been creating haiga, haiku and other Japanese poetic forms for several years and has been published widely in print and on-line, in the US and abroad. Her collection of haiku, An Unknown Road, won a Mildred Kanterman Merit Book Award for 2009, sponsored by the Haiku Society of America and is now available as an e-book on Amazon Kindle. When not writing Japanese short poetry, she writes short stories and has been published in a number of journals. Country scenes, flowers and gardens count for many of my photos. While experimenting with some flower and garden shots using different effects available with Picassa, the idea of creating a fantasy garden occurred to me. I had done straight forward photos of gardens and flowers and wanted a different look. The images were created before the haiku.
