This exhibition continues partially in a style, from Ron's previous portfolio "Mindfulness in Monochrome", featured in Haigaonline, June 2011, Issue12-1. Of the current series he writes
I wanted to experiment more with presentation and create a reflection of the image in the opposite panel where the haiku is placed. The monochrome tones bring a more ink-like feel and white space that I enjoy when I paint traditional sumi-e. The font is very extravagant and I liked the look of it very much, to my eye it balances the line and form of the images. The haiku is more traditional in a three-line format. Thanks again to Linda for allowing me to find a regular place for presenting my work.
We hope you enjoy this portfolio of Ron's always thoughtful and evocative work.
