The island state of Tasmania is a place of stunning wilderness that inspires Ron's art and poetry. He has won and placed in international competitions and is widely published, appearing in the Greenleaf Files, Reeds, Short Stuff, Simply Haiku, World Haiku Review, Wonder Haiku Worlds and his own site, www.ronmoss.com.
"Long Life" is an accumulation of photographs and haiku from a period of time when he was posting to the HaikuHut forums, exploring the Japanese concepts of white space and wabi and sabi. The haiga began to form a series and after finding a wonderful Chinese seal, with the character Long Life, a theme came together. The collection was submitted to a mainstream media poetry competition in Australia and it gained inclusion in the anthology book and CD-rom. We are pleased to host its first showing on the web.
