PAINTINGS AND PHOTO HAIGA
by WARREN GOSSETT, US
Those who know Warren are familiar with the impressionist/tonalist style of painting the landscapes of his home state Idaho and the Northwestern US. He is a member of HaikuHut and the AHApoetry Forums, and has published haiga in Lynx and Simply Haiku, as well as here at Haigaonline.
He has written of them, "I'm certain it's true of all artists—and possibility non-artists—but the colors —the hues in a spring dawn, the fire in an evening sky, the soft pastels of a deep winter snow, the complexity of tones in the shadows of a tree—colors and hues and tones—they draw upon something within you that makes you so very glad to be alive" (Warren Gossett Fine Art; his poetry has its own blog, The Crow and the Moon).
